Catching up with Clyde Trapp Jr.

State of Charlotte was able to catch up with 2017 G/F Clyde Trapp Jr., a priority recruit for Mark Price and staff. Trapp exploded on the scene over the summer, check out his highlights here from the guys at @TheHoopsColumn.  He’s recently netted a few offers, including one from Charlotte. Fortunately, Trapp was able to take some time out and answer a few questions for us:

SOC: Your recruiting has really taken off recently, can you update us on the offers you currently have?

CT: Recently I’ve gotten offers from UGA, Georgia Tech, Charlotte, VCU, South Carolina & Buffalo.

SOC: Recently you had an official visit to Rice, do you have any other official visits set at this time?

CT: I’m not finished setting yet

SOC: For those that haven’t had an opportunity to watch you play, how best would you describe your game?

CT: I’m more of a combo guard.

SOC: What are you looking to study at college?

CT: Not sure of my major.

SOC: What part of your game are you working to improve the most as you prepare for your Senior season?

CT: I’m working to improve on my defensive intensity and handle as well.

Trapp had an official set for this past weekend at UGA, but was unable to make it. We’ll keep a close eye on his upcoming official visits to see if Charlotte will be able to secure one. He is currently planning on signing in November.

Since talking to Trapp on Monday evening, a new article has been posted by @sportstalksc indicates now that more 3 officials have indeed been scheduled, and that Charlotte will have one of those.

He is going to Missouri October 21st, USC October 27th and Charlotte November 4th.  He’s undecided on a fifth visit.

We’ll make sure to provide you as much information as we can as can on Trapp’s recruitment moving forward.
